Letting Go

15 Jan

“We can never obtain peace in the outer world until we make peace with ourselves.” -Dalai Lama

Letting go is a choice. Like the proverbial child whose hand is caught in the cookie jar because they won’t let go of the cookie, we get mired in our misery because we choose to dwell there in our minds.

In order to live free we have to break free of any past that has laid a hold of us. There are people in our lives who may have meant well – or maybe not – but we have to let them go.

As we let them go, we will begin to free ourselves. Then the mind will be unencumbered by doubts or anger and be free to create a life of health, wealth and happiness.

“Judgment is in the mind, so love and forgive yourself.  You will return to where it all began, in the Great Mystery, that which is limited in description by words and is only known in the heart.  Love leaves no one out.” –Pa’Ris’Ha
